A Poem to Share
This too will change as verses are added and the old are filed away.
"Late Fall Thoughts"
The leaves dry, fall to the ground
brilliant colors fade
winter comes
but life is not found in decay
it builds on
or in spite of the ashes
as the fallen leaves nourish the tree
the grass
the coming flowers
so too do the ashes of life
the experiences
that sometimes are best "decayed"
enrich our lives
creating fertile soil
for the growth
of hope, joy, and love
creating a sort heaven on earth
mirrored on heaven above.

2012-13
Fall is here, leaves are dying
yet they still look beautiful
bright colors
but death has taken hold
soon they will leave the tree
for the ground
that's why we call this season, Fall.
Relationships can be that way too
from the outside they appear
colorful, vibrant
yet death has already its hold
like the tree, it is separation time
for good or not so good
for such is often the course of relationships.
Sod, God's own breath, and you have man
toss in a living rib, and woman is here
God weeps over brokenness
but understands, loves us still
and like in nature He brings new life
relationships that are stronger
enduring, He can, He does, for He is God.
