How lovely is a tree, so big, so tall
branches to play in
gentle, but able to give support
leaves of green in summer season
gold and red abound
when fall comes round.
So lovely is the pond, water so still
that peace seems to rise
as vapor into the air
toward the sky
refreshing the inner soul
with tones very soft, not at all bold.
Such should be the form of a man
strong so children in them can play
protecting, comforting
for his lady fair
a man of many a season
who brings to life peace and reason.
Thus should we find the true woman
lovely as the pond, refreshing
reflecting God's beauty
to her man, her children, a bringer
of harmony, of peace
the need for these will never cease.
So there is joined the man and woman
the tree and the pond
a chemistry of the inner souls
combined, intertwined
blessing and willing to let the other bless
their sum total is always more, never less.

God made the mountain
God made the sea
it 'twas Himself
that created you and me
sunrise, sunset
the challenges that lay between
hand in hand, arm in arm
we will see each one through
for we are of His kingdom
at His beck and call
giving to Him
and to each the other
our hearts, minds, soul, our all.

Come and walk these steps with me
out of the pollution
of man's empty creation
to breath the air
that God created for us
to enjoy the vista
that only He can have made
come, walk
together let us talk
of hopes, dreams, past, future
of our failures, of each success
of love, pure, divine
given to man and woman
and in the journey to God knows where
we will find more of each other
as we walk, talk
find time for prayer somewhere up there.

For you I would grow a tree
the tiny seed to plant
providing for each of its needs
giving it true care
for it is not that I love the tree
yet, to an extent
this is true
but more the point
love demands my best
that in doing for your tree
I am doing for you
thus said the woodsman
to his love
proving by his actions
that which was already in his heart
and now, the tree was also a part.

I am sitting at my desk
Looking at a leaf
Vibrant green in color
Still attached
To the stem, to the limb
To the tree
Thus is the life of man
To truly be
Attached by the Spirit
To God Himself
Rather than the limb or a tree
This leave is divided
A right side
Left side
With the vein
Running down the middle
It has two sides
Is one whole
Just as a man and woman
When they are a couple
Should surely be
The common vein, the Holy Spirit
God's divine love
Uniting the two
Making them into a one
These are my simple thoughts
Looking through the window
At many a leaf
As I contemplate life from my desk.

Isn't it a neat thing to see
Two trees linking limbs
Over a path
Where people walk underneath
Couples holding hands
Perhaps stopping
For a tender kiss
A knowing look
For much is said through eyes
Just as warmth, love
Are transmitted through
The human touch
Often I wonder
Where the path does lead
What adventures
Might be waiting there
I've walked the path
Too often alone
When I really wanted
Perhaps needed
That special someone
Their hand to hold
Or maybe they needed me
To walk the path
Where limb meets limb
Over the path, there, can you see?

One bird, two birds, lovers, friends
Sitting together
Over there on that limb
They've flown together
And together they have faced
The dangers and joys of life
God's choice is to pair
The him and the her
So when one is weak
The other can be strong
One knows the right
When their partner may be wrong
Balance! balance!
this is what life needs
throughout nature
God provides the balance
Even with man
It is quite often found
Stop! Listen! Do you not hear
The song of the birds
Such a lovely pair, a lovely sound.

Father in Heaven, hear my prayer
Words uttered in privacy
For Your ears to hear
Please bless this day herself
In her getting up
And with all the things
She has to do
So wonderful she is
As she fulfills each task
Touching lives
Of family, of friends
Even the stranger in the lane
Is touched by her giving
And so dear Father
I ask You
to bless her in her living
sun rise to sunset
and through the evening
into the night
give her peace, joy, laughter
don't be stingy
for each of these she deserves
truly, she should have much more
but I am but a simple man
unworthy to make these requests
but in faith I do
for her sake
her life continue to bless
This I ask in Jesus Name
Myself your humble servant without fame.
