The tree grows from God's earth
lives, is part of life, dies
it's leaves fall
yet grandeur, majesty, strength
in the memory remains
those who have "seen" do remember
Laura Lopper Parker had her birth
grew into a woman of beauty
both physical and soul
now her body returns to the soil
she is with God, her memory remains
we remember
both her charm and mirth
she loved our God
transformed by Christ
she was an agent of transformation
gentleness and love for many sustaining
yes Laura, we remember
though you no longer walk this earth
you have been etched on minds
and hearts of family and of friends
where tear and joy mingle
such is this life as God so ordains
thank you Lord, that we can remember.

Laura you walked the Valley of Death's Shadow
hand in hand with Jesus the Christ
to where the lights of heaven gleam and glow.

"Do not let your hearts be troubled. Trust in God; trust also in me. In my Father's house are many rooms; if it were not so, I would have told you. I am going there to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come back and take you to be with me that you also may be where I am. You know the way to the place where I am going."

Thomas said to him, "Lord, we don't know where you are going, so how can we know the way?"

Jesus answered, "I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me. If you really knew me, you would know my Father as well. From now on, you do know him and have seen him."
