LOWELL
July 15, 1919 - 5 July 2008

His name will be Lowell
Issac and Mary said
and it was
before they immigrated
from Indiana to Oklahoma
where the boy
grew to be a fine man.

The world went to war, again
and Lowell, for his Country
did too
beginning a flying career
B-25's; C-147's
he was a pilot
his heart wider than a wingspan.

Kelly Field, the Air Corps pride
'twas there he asked Grace
to be his bride
Dwight, Sandra, and Jean
followed in order
Lowell was a loving dad
a grand husband, a true man.

Good husband, dad, granddad
Amy, Donny, Rob, Brad
a lover of God
his values passed even to grand-kids
Robby and Alexa
and beyond to his friends
an example of a spiritual he-man.

Born, lived, gave, enjoyed, died
a life well lived
special
Lowell is now in our Savior's arms
but he left parts behind
laughter, joy, love, gentleness
no greater legacy has many a man.

Weep not, Celebrate, ‘Tis God’s plan
let Him be your “I Am” and “We can”.
