representing our Indian heritage
the cottonwood, the oak
proud trees for a very proud state
the Alamo
symbol of the Missions
the Churches
the blending Mexican and Anglo
and also of bravery against great odds
of sacrifice for Liberty's sake
the longhorn cow
and the cowboys on the range
oil, black gold
tall pines
a land of vastness
desert
but also many lakes
the rancher's barn
fences
the skyline of the city
a rocket going up
"Houston, we have lift off"
a people, a history
a heritage, a living culture
this is Texas
the State of the Lone Star
and this is her Flag.
