The Friend We Knew As Pat

The newborn baby came into the world
they called her Patricia Jean
and as a child she blessed her home
her schoolmates, teachers, and many others.

Her smile of love was like a sturdy tree
bringing color and life for all to feel and see.

Like a lovely magnet she caught Merle's eye
he called her "my love", "my wife"
and as a spouse and mother she blessed
her husband, children, grandchildren, and others.

Her smile of love was like a sturdy tree
bringing color and life for all to feel and see.

She worked and in Civil Air Patrol she served
dependable, reliable, always ready
touching lives with her grace
co-workers, seniors, cadets, and many others.

Her smile of love was like a sturdy tree
bringing color and life for all to feel and see.

Thank you dear Father, for this precious life
of the Lady we knew as Pat
please tell her that she is missed, still loved
by her family and us,  her adoptive sisters and brothers.
